The Biomedical Textile Materials (BMTM) Group of Donghua University focuses on the design, fabrication and evaluation of biomedical textile materials. We are committed to the commercial production of biomedical textiles, such as vascular prostheses, stent-grafts, blood vessel scaffolds, biodegradable ureteral stents, esophageal scaffolds, hernia meshes, antibacterial sutures, knotless sutures, functional wound dressings, surgical debridement materials, pressure garments and medical braces and splints. There are 4 professors including 2 foreign professors, 4 associate professors and 1 laboratory instructor. They have research experience in textile science and engineering, biomaterial science, biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering and surgery. The BMTM Group has established enduring cooperative research relationships with universities, research institutes, companies, government agencies, hospitals and healthcare centers all over the world.
